One-Day Course

In changing times with respect to the primary curriculum and the status of ICT, one thing is certain – our children must develop confidence and responsibility in all aspects of ICT.  Without these skills and knowledge they will be at a distinct disadvantage socially, academically and for future employment.  This training will concentrate on the leadership of ICT and especially the strategic aspect. 

Course Description

Much about leading ICT is about knowing where your school is going, thinking ahead and being prepared. This training will offer useful strategies to ensure ICT in your school develops in a coherent and efficient manner.

Course Aims:

1. To clarify leadership of ICT- who is doing what in your school.
2. Why an ICT strategy?
3. To develop ICT vision into practice - ICT action planning.
4. To ensure rigour in the monitoring and assessment of ICT.
5. To plan for ICT across subjects - which scheme of work?
6. To be confident with school self-evaluation of ICT and to make use of the Naace SRF.
7. To be rigorous with safeguarding and e-Safety.
8. To be familiar with online resources and Web2 applications to help broaden the use of ICT in your school.
